【Abstract】 Taking the engineering of utility tunnel of Hedong Road in Qingdao City as a case study,this article comments on the advantages and disadvantages of utility tunnel,introduces the design methods of utility tunnel,emphatically demonstrates the design of the special joints,such as comprehensive ditch joints and subsidiary ditch end points,and makes suggestions for the subsidiary ditch reservation.
