【摘要】 英语委婉语是英语的重要组成部分,对委婉语的解读是一个复杂的认知过程。从认知语言学的角度来看,委婉语是一种概念化的隐喻。认知语言学认为,隐喻不仅仅是一种修辞手段,还是一种概念隐喻,具有突出一个概念的某个方面而同时掩盖其他方面的作用。基于对委婉语中的概念隐喻分析,运用认知语言学观点,尝试性地解释了委婉语的认知理据。更多还原

【Abstract】 Euphemism is a very important part in English.The understanding of euphemisms is a complicated cognitive process.As conceptualized metaphors,euphemisms demand cognitive explanation.Cognitive linguistics holds that metaphor is not only a figurative speech,but also a conceptual metaphor.Conceptual metaphor serves the function of highlighting and hiding some aspects of a concept.This article analyzes the conceptual metaphor mechanism in euphemism and tries to explain the cognitive motivation of euphemism from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.更多还原
