【Abstract】 This paper studies semantic cognition.The concept of "understanding" is widely used in languages.Based on English and Chinese corpus,the paper demonstrates the cognitive origin of concept "understanding" is "light",and then expounds the development mechanism of human metaphor and categorization in the conceptual structure "understanding is light" generation process.This paper,in accordance with cognitive rules,aims at providing some practical implications for the metaphorical mapping and the operation of categorization.更多还原
