A review is made on the studies on There-be construction.It is pointed out that great achievements have been made both in terms of the depth and width of research.Along with these achievements,the scope of research has been expanded and perspectives have been constantly renewed.However,controversy also arises in quite a few aspects of such a construction,and some issues have not been touched upon.Therefore,further studies are still needed in the area under discussion.
