【Abstract】 Based on the analysis of the mix-blooded protagonist Norman’s identity predicament in Australian novel Capricornia, and some ideas from post-colonial studies, this paper points out that white colonizers’ domination has twisted Norman’s psychology and self-consciousness, forcing him to wear a "white mask". Then the paper analyzes the fictitiousness and artificiality of white superiority in the confrontation between the white and the black. Finally the possible outlet of Norman’s predicament is discussed.更多还原
