【Abstract】 A model was developed in which the asymptotic number of citations was used to quantify both the typical impact and the range of impacts of papers published in a journal.In this method,the eventual impact of journal or paper comes from the basic data based on logarithm of the number of citations of the papers.In order to explore the practical applications of this model,a comprehensive comparative analysis was proposed for the journal-ranking schemes and other indexes of bibliometrics such as impacting factor,frequency of citation,peer review,etc.更多还原
