【Abstract】 A new early maturing Chinese chestnut variety Yunxia was bred from seedling selection. It is early maturing and early beraing with high and stable yield, high content of sugar and good quality. Nuts are polished and beautiful, averagely weighing 16.5 g with sugar content of 21.78% and starch content of 48.41%. The cultivar. has strong disease and insect resistance and good adaptability to dry-hot valley areas. Its kernel rate reaches 41.24%. Temperature for starch pasting is 52 ℃.
