离子镀TiAlN工具涂层的微结构与切削性能
Microstructure and Cutting Performance of TiAlN Tooling Coatings Prepared by Ion Plating
【摘要】 研究并比较了TiAlN和TiN涂层的成分、微结构、力学性能与抗氧化性及涂层铣刀的高速切削性能和涂层钻头的切削性能。结果表明,TiAlN和TiN涂层同为单相的NaCl型结构,并都呈现择优取向的柱状晶,TiAlN涂层的硬度远高于TiN涂层的硬度,TiAlN涂层的抗氧化温度明显高于TiN涂层的抗氧化温度。在高速铣削条件下,TiAlN涂层铣刀的后刀面磨损速率仅为TiN涂层铣刀的约四分之一。在钻孔数相同时TiAlN涂层钻头的磨损量也显著低于TiN涂层钻头。TiAlN涂层刀具的使用寿命显著高于TiN涂层刀具。
【Abstract】 TiAlN and TiN coatings were deposited on the surface of milling cutter and drill by arc ion plating method.Microstructure,oxidation resistant and mechanical properties of TiAlN and TiN coatings,together with cutting performance of both coated drill and coated milling cutter were investigated in detailed.The results show that both TiAlN and TiN coatings are NaCl-type structure,presenting as columnar crystals.The hardness of TiAlN coating is 38.0GPa,and it is much higher than that of TiN coating(25.1GPa).the oxidation resistant temperature of TiAlN can reach 800℃,which is apparently higher than that of TiN coating(<600℃).Under the condition of high speed milling,the wear rate in the major flank of milling cutter coated with TiAlN is only one fourth of that in cutter drill coated with TiN.The wear of milling cutter coated with TiAlN is less than that of milling cutter coated with TiN.The life of cutter and drill is greatly increased by deposition of TiAlN coating due to its effect of high hardness and oxidation resistant temperature during cutting process.
