WO3含量和除水工艺对Tm3+掺杂的碲酸盐玻璃1.8μm发光的影响

【摘要】 本文研究了(90-x)TeO2-xWO3-3ZnO-6La2O3-1Tm2O3[(x=10%,20%,30%,40%)(摩尔分数)]碲酸盐玻璃(以下简称TWZL玻璃)的热稳定性和光谱性质,讨论了WO3含量和除水工艺对1.8μm发光的影响.研究发现:掺入一定量的WO3不但可以改善玻璃的热稳定性和提高玻璃转变温度(Tg),而且会增强Tm3+的1.8μm发光.但是当WO3含量超过30%时,玻璃热稳定性恶化,出现析晶现象.除水工艺对发光的影响明显,通入一段时间的氧气可以有效提高Tm3+的1.8μm发光.实验研究表明,60TeO2-30WO3-3ZnO-7La2O3玻璃是一种理想的2.0μm波段激光器的基质材料.

【Abstract】 In this paper,we report the tellurite glass with the molar composition of (90-x)TeO2-xWO3-3ZnO-6La2O3-1Tm2O3 (x=10,20,30,40(mol%)) (hereinafter called TWZL for short)and its thermal stability and spectral property. And we discuss the effect of WO3 content and removing water process on the 1.8 μm emission in the Tm3+ doped tellurite glass. It is found that introducing appropriate WO3 content not only improves the thermal stability and transition temperature(Tg) ,but also enhances the 1.8 μm emission from Tm3+. When WO3 content is more than 30 %,the thermal stability has begun to deteriorate and the glass becomes opaque. Removing water process has an obvious effect on the 1.8 μm emission. Bubbling O2 through the melt a period of time,the 1.8 μm emission from Tm3+ can be greatly enhanced. It is shown that the glass with the molar composition of 60TeO2-30WO3-3ZnO-7La2O3 is a promising host material for 2.0 μm laser.
