适用于混合多任务系统的低功耗设计策略
Low-power design policy for mixed-task system
【摘要】 对EOVSP策略进行分析的基础上,针对运行在电压可调处理器上的由瞬态任务和周期性任务所组成的混合系统,提出了一种动态电压调节策略VSPFMT.采用一种树型结构对任务进行排列,同时引入5种任务重组准则,建立VSPFMT策略中的任务重组模型,在策略执行过程中综合运用DVS和DPM的思想.实验结果表明:该策略在满足任务截止期限的同时,能够在更大的程度上降低系统平均功耗,最大比率可达69%.VSPFMT策略扩大了EOVSP的应用场合,并且也将进一步降低系统的功耗.
【Abstract】 Based on the analysis of EOVSP(energy optimal voltage scaling policy),a voltage scaling policy called VSPFMT(voltage scaling policy for mixed tasks) is presented for mixed task sets consisting of periodic and sporadic tasks.A tree structure is adopted for the sequence of tasks.At the same time,five task regrouping principles are suggested for building the model of task regrouping according to VSPFMT policy.The DVS(dynamic voltage scaling) and DPM(dynamic power management) are synthesized during the application of VSPFMT.The experimental results show that VSPFMT is superior in power saving to general DPM policies with the deadline constraint of any task that haotolet satisfied,which can be far decreased by 69%.The application of EOVSP is extended by the VSPFMT policy,and the power consumption can be further reduced with the implementation of VSPFMT.
