【Abstract】 The paper explored the translatability of proverbs with a cultural-cognitive theory so as to seek a new perspective for the translation of cultural-loaded words.It argued that people can understand proverbs loaded with special and different cultural and linguistic information in terms of translation because there is underlying cognitive norms among different cultures and societies.The application of cognitive theory shifts people’s understanding of translation from perceptual to rational,especially the cultural-loaded linguistic phenomena.更多还原
