【Abstract】 Roof greening,one type of urban landscape architecture,plays an important role in intensive use of urban space,in increasing urban green areas,and in improving urban ecological environment and building energy-saving etc. The development and function of roof greening in some countries are discussed and the approaches for future development are suggested in this article.
