【Abstract】 Though being a fast-growing and high density country with limited land resources, Singapore has successfully got rid of traffic congestion through its "public transport metropolis" initiative. With the collaboration of a series of policies, traffic congestion in the city has been overcome. In addition to land use policies and the development mode complementarily promoted by urban planning and transportation planning, Singapore government also implemented a number of restrictions on individual transportation tools to ensure the smooth operation of various means of transport being under control. The success of Singapore suggests that traffic congestion is a problem that requires systemic solutions. It is of significant reference for Guangzhou who is striving to build a public transport metropolis.更多还原
