【Abstract】 Accelerating the process of extension and application of superior tree seeds(namely,seeds from seed orchards and mother trees,and cuttings from scion plots) is a fundamental and strategic choice of transforming the mode of forestry development and an issue concerning the overall situation of realizing objectives of the national strategy,maintaining successful results of modem forestry development and increasing forest farmers’ income and benefits.It is an important reflection for thoroughly fulfilling scientific view of development in forestry.The strength,opportunity,weakness and threats exist together in development of superior tree seeds.We have to realize and handle ten relationships dialectically.Accelerating the process of superior tree seeds requires people to have a conception,namely,"seeds are fundamental to forests and quality is a priority of seeds".Efforts must be made to develop national key bases of superior tree seeds production for major commercial timber forest species and high-quality woody grain and oil species,and to establish a mechanism in combination of science and research with production and management,and a system of the government’s financial subsidies for superior tree seeds.更多还原
