【Abstract】 During the teaching process of"The Outline of Modern and Contemporary Chinese History"in universities, we should focus on the scientificity, sense of the times and pertinence of the patriotic education. It is essential to analyze and evaluate historical issues and figures in the scientific view of history and methodology, introduce new contents for traditional patriotism by the combinative study of history and reality, and answer the hot spots of social problems concerning the ideological reality and the demand characteristics of students.
