一种有效的混合式闪存磨损均衡算法
Effective Hybrid Wear-leveling Algorithm for Flash Memory Management
【摘要】 为延长嵌入式系统中作为外部存储设备的闪存介质的使用寿命,普遍采用磨损均衡算法对各物理块进行管理.本文对现有的确定性磨损均衡算法进行改进,结合随机性处理,提出HWL(Hybrid Wear Leveling)算法,不仅使磨损均衡处理只占用很少的内存开销,还能有效地进行"冷热"数据存放位置的交换.在多种逻辑页更新模式的仿真试验中,物理块彼此之间都能达到较为接近的擦除次数;与已有算法相比,磨损均衡处理引起的额外擦除较少,可延长闪存的使用寿命.
【Abstract】 In order to extend the lifetime of flash memory,some wear-leveling strategies are usually employed to manage the blocks in the flash device.By combining the deterministic and randomized algorithms,this paper invents an effective algorithm called HWL(Hybrid Wear Leveling).It includes an effective wear-leveling scheme to evenly leverage the placements of cold-hot data while consumes less memory.The simulations under different page-update modes show that all blocks have a close erasure times and the number of additional erasures incurred by our wear-leveling strategy is at a low level.
