P2P流媒体传输协议及其QoS优化研究
Research on Transmission Protocol and its QoS Improvements of in P2P Streaming Media Systems
【摘要】 通过分析具有代表性的实时流媒体服务模型Promise中使用的P2P流媒体网络协议CollectCast,针对其中在缓存管理与传输速率协调性方面的局限性,提出一种改进的P2P流媒体传输协议cacheCollectCast,该协议能够根据综合缓存状态动态地调节发送数据包的大小以及传输速率,解决了节点的缓存状况与流媒体所要求的码率,以及与包传输量大小之间不匹配的问题,达到了优化P2P流媒体网络节点间数据传输QoS性能的目的.通过仿真实验,详细分析了协议原型在P2P流媒体网络中数据传输的效果.结果表明,所提出的新的cacheCollectCast协议比原有协议在延迟和抖动方面有明显的改善.为P2P流媒体传输研究提供了有价值的实验数据及参考方案.
【Abstract】 By analyzing the P2P streaming media protocol, called as CollectCast, in Promise, a famous P2P live streaming media system, a new protocol named as cacheCollectCast is proposed, to overcome the limitations of cache management and coordination of the transfer rate. The protocol is designed to regulate dynamically the size of data packet and transmission rate according to the node cache usage. The mismatch between nodes cache with the streaming media bit-rate and packet-rate is eliminated, and the transmission QoS among P2P streaming media network is improved. Complete simulation experiments in different conditions have been carried out. The results show that our new cacheCollectCast protocol is much better in the QoS of delay and jitter, which provide a valuable reference for the research and application on P2P streaming media protocols.
