SVC增强层传输差错自适应掩盖算法

【摘要】 分析了SVC(scalable video coding)中常用的两种差错掩盖方式的特点和适用场合.提出了基于失真度估计的自适应增强层差错掩盖算法.该算法根据正确接收的基本层重建残差以及基本层与增强层量化参数的差距,分别估计出用当前帧基本层和前一帧增强层对受损图像掩盖后的总体失真度,并以4×4块为单位,选择失真度小的方式进行掩盖.基于JVTSVC的测试模型JSVM(joint scalable video model)的实验结果表明,该自适应掩盖算法与两种常用掩盖方式相比,PSNR(peak signal to noise ratio)分别提高了约3.34和0.63 dB.

【Abstract】 The characteristics and applicable situations of two common and effective error concealment methods were analyzed.An adaptive transmission error concealment algorithm for the enhancement layer in SNR scalable video coding(SVC) was proposed based on distortion estimation.The proposed algorithm estimates distortions resulted by the two concealment methods based on the correctly received reconstructed residue in the base layer and the difference between the quantization parameters of base and enhancement layers.The error concealment method resulting in a smaller distortion is selected to conceal the missing enhancement area for each 4×4 block.Simulation results of JVT SVC test model JSVM(joint scalable video model) show that average PSNR gains of 3.34 and 0.63 dB are achieved compared with the two commonly used error concealment methods,respectively.
