【摘要】 在语言各要素中,作为语言中最重要的部分—词汇受社会文化的影响最为明显.随着社会、科技的不断发展,出现了许多新事物,必然就有反映这些变化的新词汇.到目前为止,英语中的词汇大约有200万左右,其中50%是新词.根据《伯恩哈特词典伴侣》的统计,每年进入其计算机数据库的新词和新义多达1 500~1 600个.作者探讨了科技英语新词的特点、产生途径以及翻译方法,以期对英语教师及科技英语工作者有所启示.更多还原

【Abstract】 In various language factors,vocabulary,as the most important part of language,is greatly influenced by social factors.With the development of society,science and technology,many new things appear which inevitably are reflected in the new glossary.So far,in English there are about 2 000 000 English words,among them 50% are the new words.According to the statistics of "Bernhardt Dictionary Companion",the new words which enter their computer database every year reach up to 1 500~1 600.This article discusses the characteristics,approaches and translation of scientific English words,hoping it will have enlightenment to the teachers of English and the technical English translators.更多还原
