美国中部地区教师教育机构农村师资问题的解决策略
The Strategies Applied by the Central Region States’ Teacher Preparation Institutions in the USA to Meet Challenges of Rural School Teachers
【摘要】 美国中部地区农村学生和学校的比例都高于美国的平均水平,但这些农村学校却面临着师资短缺、不合格以及难以招聘和留住新教师等问题。鉴于此,中部七州部分教师教育机构采取了相应的策略:给予准农村教师获得多个学科资格证书的选择权;让生活在农村的教师有接受培训的机会;招收愿意回到农村地区任教的准教师;利用农村学校进行教育实践;实施专门的学科短缺教师培养计划等。
【Abstract】 The central region states have greater percentages of rural students and schools than the U.S.average level,but those rural school districts face the challenges of teacher shortages,unqualified teachers and the difficulties of recruiting and retaining new teachers.The strategies those teacher preparation institutions in the seven central region states have been adopted as follows: obtaining multiple-subject certification for prospective rural teachers,providing the training chances for rural teachers,recruitment of prospective teachers in rural areas,practical teaching placement in rural schools and programs specially designed for teacher shortage subjects,are the keys of rural teacher preparation.
