【Abstract】 Owing to the lack of earthquake resistance measures, some libraries suffered serious damage in the Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan Province. The library circles have some thoughts from the earthquake : the insurance right is the most basic right of readers, the libraries have duties of safeguarding the readers’ personal safety and property safety; the building designer, the builders and libraries should shoulder the safety of the library buildings side by side; the libraries ought to adopt effective measures to improve the seismic resistance function of the library buildings before the earthquake; the libraries should take the corresponding countermeasures after the earthquake, and bring important effects in combating the earthquake, doing relief work , and rebuilding the homeland.更多还原
