脉宽2.9 PS的超短被动锁模半导体激光器
2.9 ps ultra-short optical Pulse from a passively mode-locked laser diode
【摘要】 本文报道了一种新型的被动锁模半导体激光器,采用了多量子阱技术、主被动混合锁模机制,并且在实验中已经成功产生了脉宽为2.9 ps,时间带宽积为0.43(非常接近高斯波形的变换极限值)的超短光脉冲,是光时分复用系统的一种理想光源.
【Abstract】 This paper has reported the experimental setup for a new passively mode-locked laser diode(MLLDs).By using multi quantum wells and hybrid mode-locked techniques.In the experiment,an optical ultra-short pulse train with a duration of 2.9 ps and a time-bandwidth product of 0.43(very close to the transform-limited value of a Gaussian waveform.)was successfully generated from the passively mode-locked laser diode.This laser is priming as an optical source for the optical time division multiplexing system.
