A new model of coupling structure and wake oscillator in vortex-induced vibration(VIV) is established.The fluctuating behavior of the near wake and vortex street is modeled by a nonlinear oscillator satisfied the van der pol equation.The interaction of the coupling system is of force balance between the structure and near wake flow.2-D VIV is studied by the coupling model.It is thus found that the features of synchronization regime are well describe.These results prove that peak amplitude of structure Am ax...
