【Abstract】 Some Yiddish scholars have been striving to repudiate the originality and authority of Isaac Bashevis Singer’s English version since he gained wide popularity outside of the Yiddish circles.This paper offers the justification for treating Singer as a bilingual writer on the basis of a general description of the dispute over Singer’s bilingual writing,the main points and absurdity of the Yiddish scholars,and Singer’s unique mode of bilingual writing.更多还原
