【Abstract】 The English Monastic Chronicles during the 14th and 15th centuries were different from those in the high Middle Ages.The chroniclers of that time broadened their selections of historical sources to the secular world and some new writing techniques were used.Historical thoughts of that time also transformed and all these led to the changes of chronicles’ structures as well as writing styles.Their new methods of historical study were passed down through generations and had noticeable influence on the development of English historiography.更多还原
