基于颜色视觉的高动态范围图像压缩算法

【摘要】 高动态范围图像的亮度动态范围远远超过目前的显示设备所能显示的水平,为了适应这些显示设备输出视觉感知与真实场景相对一致的图像,需要把高动态范围(HDR)图像压缩成低动态范围(LDR)的图像。无论什么压缩算法,都会使图像阶调细节产生一定的丢失,同时图像的颜色也会发生不同程度的偏离。尽管各种阶调映射(tone-mapping)算法在减少阶调细节损失方面做出了一定的贡献,但是它们几乎都没有考虑压缩所导致的图像颜色在视觉上的变化。本文提出一个基于人眼颜色视觉的高动态图像的压缩算法,该算法可保持图像细节和颜色在视觉上的恒定性。

【Abstract】 The algorithms, mapping the high dynamic range images to the low dynamic range images, have been described in many literatures. Especially, tone mapping operators are the typical algorithms which are designed to produce visibility and the overall impression of brightness and contrast of HDR images on typical displays with limited luminance range. But almost all algorithms mainly focus on rendering details of HDR images and few algorithms consider the change of color when the images are displayed on these typical displays. This paper proposes a HDR rendering algorithm based on color vision of the human eye to map HDR images on typical displays, so that not only details but also color of the HDR images can be reproduced in visual point of view.
