【Abstract】 Willa Cather’ close association with European immigrants and her own migrations are fully reflected in her works in the form of sub-texts.My Antonia,with a focus on the parallel narrative mode and the development of diachrony,explores the initiation theme,which has long been the American writers’ favor,and depicts the growing-up process of the protagonists with emotional tone,successfully presenting the images of heroes full of pioneering spirits.This paper elaborates upon this novel from the perspective of process of growing-up,metaphor in initiation theme,and the guides in the initiation process.更多还原
