【Abstract】 The Puritan movement in 17,18 century was originated from England,but flourished in the North American continent.In the North American continent,puritans utilized their own religious ideas to realize their ideals,and had a profound impact on North American politics,economy,culture,education and so on.Puritanism is a major source of American culture,and plays an important role in the history of ideas and education in the United States.The purpose of this paper is to start from the Puritanism to explore the influences of Puritanism on American higher education in colonial period by the two aspects of Puritanism:religion and values,as well as the significance for the modern higher education.更多还原
