超越文理分科:美国高中课程和大学招生的专业分化
Surpassing the Division of the Arts and Science:The Senior High School Curriculum and the Professionalization of College Admission in the United States
【摘要】 美国高中课程设置和大学招生要求,既不是文理不分、也不是文理分科,而是通过学生选修选考,进行更为深入的、专业导向的分化。在该制度下,共同基础课程的修读学分要求和考核要求较低,专业导向课程的内容难度、考核难度较高。相比较而言,选择性高校更加重视考生在专业导向课程上的学业成绩。
【Abstract】 In the United States,senior high school curriculum offering and college admission requirements are neither the non-division of the arts and science,nor division.There are different professions which are formed natively by free selective curriculum system and free selective testing courses system.In contrast with common fundamental courses,profession-oriented courses have deeper content,more difficult assessment,and are regarded as the most important factor by admissions officers of high selective colleges.
