【Abstract】 Novel neonicotinoid insecticide nitenpyram was briefly introduced,including its structure, physical and chemical properties and mechanism of action etc.It was emphasized on the methods for synthesis of nitenpyram and its intermediates.Starting with 2-chloro-5-chloromethylpyridine, the major intermediate N-(6-chloro-3-pyridyl) methyl-N-ethylamine was synthesized,then which reacted with 1,1-dimethyl mercapto-2-nitroethylene or 1,1,1-trichloro -2-nitroethane,the acquired intermediate reacted with aqueous methylamine,thus the objective product nitenpyram was obtained.The produced domestically nitenpyram can’t meet market demand at present yet,so nitenpyram still had wide application and market prospect更多还原
