【Abstract】 The use of common signs and short notices is closely connected with the images of the countries or the districts,which is the vanity project of the country.The investigations conducted suggest that there exist some problems in the translation of common signs and short notices in Changzhou,such as road signs without English translations,word-for-word translation and the disharmony between rules and the reality.Attention should be paid to translating techniques for common signs of guidance and propaganda,forbidden signs,and translation unification of public signs so as to raise the international image of Changzhou City.更多还原
