【摘要】 Evalvid是一套用于评估网络仿真环境下多媒体视频传输质量的工具,应用其在网络仿真软件NS中的扩展实现,仿真分析了采用不同的网络队列管理机制对多媒体传输质量的影响。分析的队列管理机制包括丢尾机制、主动队列管理机制、差异式服务机制;并利用丢包率、PSNR对多媒体传输质量进行了分析。结果显示主动队列管理机制和差异式服务机制可以很好地保证多媒体传输的质量。更多还原

【Abstract】 Evalvid is a tool-set for evaluating the delivery quality of multimedia video transmissions in a network environment simulation, and it s combined with the NS (network simulator). This paper analyzed the effect of using different network queue management methods to the multimedia transmission based on the tool-set. The queue management methods included droptail, adaptive queue management, differentiated service. The transmission performance was evaluated based on the packet drop probability and PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio). The results showthat the adaptive queue management and differentiated service can improve the quality of the multimedia transmission.更多还原
