【Abstract】 The Romantic artists with artistic temperament take art for their "vocation".Self-portraits have been the most explicit expression of exhibiting new consciousness of themselves and of their uniqueness.They are characterized by independence and isolation.Tenuous discrepancies between sanity and insanity provided the main melody for the artists.This paper sheds light on the four aspects mentioned above to elaborate the argument that Romantic artists seek for absolute freedom in artistic creation,excluding all the bandage of objective world and its impact on their mind.更多还原
