【Abstract】 Formic acid (FA) is one of the main derivatives of methanol. The key properties and usages of FA are briefly introduced in the paper,and the four FA production processes ,such as FA produced from sodium formic acid , as the by product of butane oxidized to manufacture acetic acid, from methyl amide and methyl f formate are analyzed in detail.
