色散平坦光子晶体光纤中实现光波变换的研究
Theoretical and experimental analysis of wavelength conversion in dispersion-flatted photonic crystal fibers
【摘要】 基于四波混频(FWM)效应,在色散平坦光子晶体光纤(PCF)中实现了全光波长变换。采用长度为30m、具有小的反常色散值的高非线性色散平坦PCF对10Gbit/s的信号进行了波长变换,当平均泵浦功率为26dBm时,在20nm转换带宽内得到了-19.5dB的转换效率;用具有小的正常色散值的高非线性色散平坦PCF替代原光纤,进行了实验与理论比较。研究结果表明:利用两种不同的光纤得到了几乎相同的转换效率和转换带宽。
【Abstract】 We demonstrate all-optical wavelength conversion based on four-wave mixing.We use the 30 m dispersion-flattened photonic crystal fiber with anomalous dispersion in the experiment.For an average pump power of 26 dBm,the conversion efficiency is around-19.5 dB,covering a conversion bandwidth of 20 nm.Then the dispersion-flattened photonic crystal fiber with normal dispersion is used to replace the former one.Through theoretical and experimental analysis,we get the conclusion that two different kinds of fibers above-mentioned can get almost the same conversion efficiency and conversion bandwidth.
