基于电磁感应透明的二维可控光子晶体分功率器

【摘要】 设计一种通过改变控制光的拉比频率来调节分束比的光子晶体可控分功率器.采用平面波展开法和时域有限差分法研究了填充一定密度的电磁感应透明(E IT)原子气体的二维圆柱形光子晶体功率分束器分束比的可控特性.数值模拟结果表明:通过改变控制光的拉比频率,对归一化频率位于0.3499~0.3502ωe(ωe=2πc/a)范围内的TM偏振入射光,实现了分束比从填充E IT气体前的1∶0∶0到填充E IT气体后1∶5∶0和1∶2∶7的人工调节.这种基于电磁感应透明的可控光子晶体分功率器在一定程度上降低了操作难度和工艺要求,具有更强的操作性和更高的实用价值.

【Abstract】 A controllable photonic crystal power-splitter is first mentioned which can regulate the splitting ratio by changing the external conditions.The plane wave expansion method(PWE) and the finite-difference time-domain method(FDTD) are employed to study the controllable features of two-dimensional columnar photonic crystal power-splitter filling with the EIT atomic vapor.It is showed that,by changing the Rabi frequency of control light,the splitting ratio of three output branches of the power-splitter can be changed to 1∶5∶0 and 1∶2∶7 when filling the vapor,compared to 1∶0∶0 when unfilling the vapor,for the TM polarized incident light at the range of the normalized frequency 0.349 9~0.350 2 ωe(where ωe=2πc/a).This photonic crystal power-splitter based on electromagnetically induced transparency reduces the difficulty of operating and the requirements of technology and has more operability and more practical value in a certain degree.
