溶胶-凝胶法制备钇铁石榴石(YIG)研究
A Study of Yttrium Iron Garnet (YIG) Prepared by Sol-gel Method
【摘要】 以柠檬酸为络合剂、用溶胶-凝胶法制备了钇铁石榴石Y3Fe5O12(YIG)材料。XRD分析表明生成石榴石相的固相反应在700℃左右开始,至900℃基本上完成,比普通陶瓷工艺提前100℃。预烧料比饱和磁化强度σsp以及相对磁化强度σsp/σss(σss为烧结样品比饱和磁化强度)数据与XRD结果相符。收缩率数据表明,材料致密化滞后于固相反应400℃以上。粉料粒度随热处理温度增高(700℃~950℃)而增大(13~60nm)。给出了材料的烧结特性(密度、气孔率、收缩率)及SEM照片。讨论了铁磁共振线宽△H和自旋波线宽△Hk随烧结温度的变化。在最佳烧结温度1240℃下获得的△H为4.46kA/m(56Oe),△Hk为0.33kA/m(4.1Oe)。这个△Hk值为一般YIG材料△Hk的2倍。这里的烧结温度比普通陶瓷工艺的YIG材料低了200℃。
【Abstract】 The yttrium iron garnet,Y3Fe5O12,has been prepared by the sol-gel method using citric acid as the chelating agent. The XRD spectra showed that the formation of YIG begins at 700℃ and ends at about 900℃,which is in 100℃ lower than that of the common YIG prepared by ceramics method. The data of specific magnetization σsp and the ratio of σsp/σss consist with the XRD results. The shrinkage data evidenced that the densification is in more than 400 ℃ postpone to the solid reaction. The particle sizes of the powder increase with increasing heat temperature from 13nm (700℃) to 60nm (950℃). The SEM photograph and the sintering behaviors of density,porosity and shrinkage of the samples were presented and discussed. The dependence of ferromagnetic resonance linewidth △H and spin wave linewidth △Hk were given on the sintering temperature. At optimum sintering temperature of 1240℃,properties are obtained with the linewidth △H of 4.5kA/m (57Oe),and △Hk of 0.33kA/m (4.1Oe),which is two times that of the common YIG. The sintering temperature of this method,1240℃ is 200℃ lower than that of common YIG.
