硬盘In-Drive伺服刻写的设计及实现
Design and implementation of In-Drive servo track writing in HDD
【摘要】 硬盘的伺服刻写是整个硬盘产生的核心,其中伺服刻写中所产生的RRO是影响硬盘伺服质量的重要标志,并且RRO的大小决定着硬盘的功耗。采用传统的Media伺服刻写技术会产生很大的RRO,影响伺服信号的质量;而采用In-Drive伺服刻写技术可以避免传统伺服刻写中存在的问题。本文给出了In-Drive伺服刻写技术的详细设计方案和实现过程,对比Media伺服刻写方法,采用该策略实现的In-Drive伺服刻写,可降低伺服定位信号的波动及伺服位置的偏差,而且基准时钟写闭一般不超过4次。
【Abstract】 Servo track writing in HDD is very important to manufacture HDD.The RRO(repeatable run out)of servo track writing is a pivotal factor in HDD servo quality,and impacts HDD power consumption.Larger RRO can be brought in traditional media servo track writing technology.While In-Drive servo track writing technology is adopted,the RRO can be decreased greatly.In this paper,an integrative servo track writing scheme is proposed based on In-Drive,and the implementation method is provided too.Comparing with media servo track writing,this scheme can reduce the servo positioning signal fluctuation and the servo position deviation,and the ’reference clock writing closed’ generally does not surpass four times.
