【Abstract】 The prospective application of calixpyrrole to the host-guest chemistry has received much atten- tion, due to its special structure and excellent capability. Synthesis of new functionalized calixpyrrole and its derivatives has become one of the hot spots in the field of supramolecular chemistry. In recent years het-ero-calixpyrroles with varial structures and remarkable host properties have been synthesized through intro- ducing nonclassical building units into the calixpyrrole framework.
