基于OWAMP的网络性能测量系统NPMFO的设计与实现

【摘要】 以流媒体和实时应用为代表的新型网络应用模式要求对网络的性能指标进行有效监测。在参考IPPM(IPPerformance Metrics)工作组制定的相关网络性能测量建议的基础上,提出了基于OWAMP(One Way Active Measure-ment Protocol)的网络性能测量系统NPMFO(Network Performance Measure Frame besed on OWAMP),针对产生测量数据包的不同分布和测量数据包的大小差异对最终测量结果产生的影响等关联测量方法的问题进行了探讨,并进行仿真评估,验证了系统中对若干测量方法选取的合理性。

【Abstract】 Stream-media and real-time application standing for new network application mode present challenges to network performance and accurate measurement,which requires ISP provide efficient monitoring means meeting Service Level Agreement.A network performance measurement system NPMFO(Network Performance Measure Frame Based on OWAMP) was proposed based on OWAMP(One Way Active Measurement Protocol),referencing relevant network performance measurement advice provided by IPPM(IP Performance Metrics) working group.The associated measurement problems such as the effect of packet distribution and packet size on the measurement results were discussed.The simulation validates the methodology selected in the system.
