【Abstract】 A series of the lanthanide complexes were synthesized by the reaction of Ln3+(Ln=La, Eu and Dy) with the Schiff base HL which was prepared by the reaction of isonicotinic carboxhydrazide with 2-carboxyledyhyde pyridine. The complexes were structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction single-crystal structure analyses. The luminescence of the ligand and the lanthanide complexes were also determined.
