【摘要】 针对拥塞控制是Internet研究的一个热点问题和难点问题,详细讨论了XCP与VCP这两个高速网络拥塞控制协议。XCP是一种联合端系统和路由器共同协作的协议,将拥塞控制从带宽分配策略中解耦。XCP比TCP在高带宽时延乘积网络的环境中有着更好的性能。对XCP协议与VCP协议的结构及执行过程进行了分析,通过仿真实验表明,VCP协议不仅取得了与XCP一样高的链路利用率,而且对现有的协议改动非常小,有利于逐步实施,在拥塞控制应用中VCP比XCP具有更高的应用价值。更多还原

【Abstract】 Congestion control becomes the hot issue in internet research.XCP and VCP are new protocols of congestion control in high speed network.XCP provides a joint design of the end systems and the router and is characterized by the existence of separate congestion/efficiency controller and fairness controller at the router.VCP protocols encode congestion information associates with two binary bits in ECN.XCP can provide a better variety of qualities of service than TCP in high bandwidth-delay product networks.The structure and execution of XCP was expounded.The simulation experiment result shows that VCP protocol has high link usage such as XCP,which gives little alternation to the present protocol.This is helpful to put VCP into practice.VCP will be of higher application value compared with XCP in the field of the congestion control.更多还原
