【Abstract】 Synaesthesia,based on the common human physiological mechanism,is a linguistic as well as psychological phenomenon.From the cognitive perspective,synaesthesia is a kind of metaphor.This articles discusses the mechanism of synaesthesia formation,and by applying the conceptual metaphor theory and the conceptual blending theory,it analyzes Chinese and English synaesthetic phenomena to expose the rules of cross-domain mapping.It also points to the cultural differences between Chinese and English synaesthesia.更多还原
