【Abstract】 The paper introduced the main problems of production during the early use of the medium-thin slab caster(ASP) in the No3 steelmaking plant of Jinan Iron and Steel Group Corporation. By optimizing the refining procedures, the steel compositions, such as [O]、[Als]、[S], were controlled reasonablly and the steel castability was improved, All these made the ASP production stable gradually.
