【摘要】 结合多描述编码和分层编码的优势,提出一种差错信道下基于感兴趣区域的分层多描述图像编码方法。利用SP IHT编码的分层内嵌特性,将图像编码为多个SPIHT描述码流,同时根据感兴趣区域将每个描述码流分为基本层码流和增强层码流。实际应用中根据网络带宽动态调整多描述增强层的传输,基本层传送给低带宽用户,基本层和增强层一起传送给高带宽用户。实验证明,该方法对于带宽受限条件下的差错信道图像传输具有很好的差错鲁棒性,能为图像感兴趣区域提供有效保护。更多还原

【Abstract】 A layered multiple description image coding based on region of interest(ROI) is designed by combining the advantage of the multiple description coding and the layered coding.The SPIHT algorithm is used to generate multiple description streams,and each description stream is divided into the base layer stream and the enhancement layer stream based on ROI.In practical applications,base layer descriptions are transmitted to low bandwidth clients,while both base and enhancement layer descriptions are transmitted to high bandwidth clients.Experimental results prove that the scheme has good error robustness over error-prone channels with heterogeneous bandwidth,thus ROI of the image is efficiently protected during the transmission.更多还原
