无线传感器网络中的S-MAC协议性能

【摘要】 为了研究无线传感器网络中S(Sensor)-MAC的协议性能以及协议参数的变化对协议性能的影响,提出了基于马尔可夫链的分析模型.根据S-MAC协议中的退避机制建立了一维马尔可夫链,以研究网络中单个节点的行为;根据协议的周期特性研究了整个网络的行为,从而计算协议在不同占空比下的能耗、吞吐量和时延.仿真结果表明:分析模型能够准确地评估S-MAC协议的各项性能,定量分析能耗和其他性能之间存在的权衡问题,并为如何选取合适的协议参数提供了理论依据.

【Abstract】 In order to evaluate the performance of S-MAC protocol in wireless sensor networks and study the influence of the protocol parameters,an analytical model based on the Markov chain was proposed.According to the protocol’s backoff mechanism,the node behavior was studied through a one-dimensional Markov chain.The network behavior was studied through considering the protocol’s periodic characteristics.The energy consumption,throughput and packet delay were derived.The simulations show that the analytical results are highly accurate in evaluating the performance.Therefore the proposed model can be used to quantitatively analyze the trade-off between energy consumption and other performance and can further provide theoretical guidance for choosing a proper duty cycle.
