基于SSM/I被动微波数据的中国积雪深度遥感研究

【摘要】 通过对积雪和其他地物的被动微波辐射计SSM/I的微波亮温进行波谱分析,提出了一个识别积雪的SSM/I微波检测方法,与MODIS的5d合成积雪范围数据进行了比较,结果表明SSM/I的积雪范围与MODIS基本一致。对提出的SSM/I的微波积雪深度反演方法进行了验证,与2006年冬季每日的中国地面积雪深度观测数据的相关系数R的平方为0.46~0.54,偏差为-0.3~0.8cm,均方根误差rmse为4.4~6.8cm。

【Abstract】 Snow depth is required in evaluation of snow disaster and atmospheric and hydrological model.As snow detection is the first step of snow depth retrieval,this paper presents a method for snow detection based on the analysis of SSM/I passive microwave signals for snow and other land objects.It consists of three thresholds of microwave brightness temperature(TB)for snow detection.Further,SSM/I composite snow mapping of five days is further compared with Terra-MODIS snow mapping for the same period,and this validation shows that this SSM/I method is in agreement with the MODIS method for snow detection.In addition,this paper presents a statistical retrieval method of snow depth for SSM/I data.A power equation is applied to SSM/I snow depth retrieval in China in winter of 2006.The result is further compared with daily snow depth observed by meteorological station.The correlation coefficient R2,bias,and root mean square error are 0.46~0.54,-0.3~0.8,and 4.4~6.8 respectively.Further analysis shows that this method reduces the obvious overestimation of snow depth derived from the Change method for snow depth retrieval.This SSM/I method for snow depth retrieval offers an operational method for snow depth mapping in China.
