【摘要】 本文在一项规模性实证研究基础上,探究了我国高校优秀英语教师专业发展的规律性特点、阶段性特征和优秀教师专业发展的成因。研究表明:(1)外语教师的专业发展是个长期、逐渐进步的过程,主要是在教学实践中成就的;(2)与普通教育的研究结果类似,外语专业教师发展初期经历生存、巩固、提高三个阶段,需约5年的课堂教学实践才能打下持续发展的基础;(3)促成优秀外语教师专业发展的因素有多种,可归纳为内因和外因,内因起决定性作用,和外因互动共同促成外语教师的专业发展。更多还原

【Abstract】 This study explores three important issues in EFL teachers’ professional development:its general tendency,its developmental phases and factors fostering teacher development.The research methodology involves mainly a qualitative approach,supplemented by statistical data.It is found that(1)EFL teacher development features a long process of gradual progress,accomplished essentially in the course of teaching;(2)similar to teacher development in general,the majority of novice EFL teachers experiences three phases of development:the survival,the consolidation and the enhanced phases,taking more or less 5 years to lay a solid foundation for further development;(3)a variety of internal and external factors promote teacher development,of which internal factors are more decisive,with external factors playing a formative role.更多还原
