国际科研网络新进展
New Progress on International Research Networks
【摘要】 在高能物理等科研领域的许多大科学工程对科研网络的网络带宽、可靠性等提出了很高的要求。传统的IP路由网络无法满足这些要求。而面向连接的电路交换光网络能较好的满足这些要求,因此,国际科研网络纷纷进行光网络的建设和相关研发。分析了e-Science科研应用的特点及其对网络的需求,重点论述了光网络的优势、体系结构及其控制和管理等关键技术,并给出了先进科研网络新进展及应用典型案例。
【Abstract】 A number of large-scale collaborative science projects in many research fields like high energy physics(HEP) have put forward very high requirements for research network in bandwidth and reliability and so on.The traditional IP routing network can’t satisfy these requirements,while the connection-oriented and circuit-switched optical network has this capability.Therefore,many international research networks have been making construction and R&D on optical network.The authors firstly analyzed the features of e-Science applications and their requirements on network,and emphatically analyzed the key technologies on the advantage,architecture,control and management of optical network.At last,some typical cases of advanced research networks and applications are given.
