【Abstract】 As two languages belonging to Sino-Tibetan and Indo-European language families respectively,Chinese and English have something in common in quantity expressions.Also they have lots of differences in this domain.Through a contrastive analysis,the following facts can be found: both English and Chinese have expressions to signify the concept of quantity,and most of the time they both rely on numbers and measure words to express the quantity of nouns,but they have many differences in measure words themselves and their usages,the structures and collocations for expressing quantity of nouns,etc.更多还原
